COREY FLOOD FEEL OKAY

Corey Flood are a brand new 4-piece hailing from Philadelphia consisting of accidental front woman Ivy Gray-Klein (bass/vocals) (better known for playing bass in Littler), Noah Jacobson-Carroll and Em Boltz on guitar and Juliette Rando on drums. 'Feel Okay' is a snarling take on grunge meets post punk with a pleasantly surprising pop edge. Boltz and Jacobson-Carroll's jagged guitars feel all the more sharp contrasted against Gray-Klein's silky yet sinister vocals, as they do battle throughout the chorus. Corey Flood's sound is both gloomy and nostalgic, taking influence from bands like Helium and early Liz Phair and forces them in a darker direction. With only a handful of gigs under their belt to date, 'Feel Okay' is the band's first offering from their debut EP Wish You Hadn't, which comes out on the 23rd of February through Fire Talk Records. -HLMX
